Storyline:
It was a group of Nashik-trained encounter specialists who helped bring law & order back to the city. And the senior police inspector who led the breakdown of the underworld himself faced the law and jail time due to his ‘by hook or by crook’ methods. The book also talks about how he fought for his honour and justice, was acquitted, and finally reinstated into the force.Inspired by Sayyed Yunus Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘The Class Of 83’, the film too follows the story of ‘a policeman’s triumphs, struggles, and redemption’. Zaidi was an investigative journalist and has used the backdrop of the early 80s when the underworld, by the likes of Dawood Ibrahim, Iqbal Kaskar and Chhota Rajan, plagued Mumbai.
